DEPARTMENT OF DERMATOLOGY

Introduction

The Department of Dermatology was started on 05.05.2010 with the joining of Senior Resident, Dr. Kalkambe A. Sangma .

Since there is no faculty in the Department as of now, the Department is attached to the Department of General Medicine and Dr. K.G. Lynrah Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine is Incharge of the Department.

OPD Service

The department of Dermatology runs OPD 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday.
Minor OT procedures such as intra-lesional steroid injection, skin biopsy, needling etc are being done by the department from Monday to Saturday from 12 noon onwards.

Inpatient Service

Patients requiring Dermatology inpatient care are admitted in the General Medical ward. All Dermatology referrals from different wards are seen bedside in their respective wards.

Academics Activities

1. The senior resident of Dermatology department is actively engaged in teaching Under Graduate/MBBS students and also involved in teaching programme of the B.Sc. nursing of the College of Nursing.
2. Presented paper on Common infectious diseases in their academic programme on the 6th November 2010.
