Services
- Furnishing and development of infra structure.
- Dissected parts and organs have been prepared and preserved for teaching and examination purpose.
- Specimens collected from cadavers, mounted and displayed.
- Fifteen new books are added to the departmental library. Total number of books is 50.
- The MBBS course of 2009-2010 batch was completed by 12th June, 2010.
- The 1st Professional MBBS (practical & viva) Examination was conducted in the department on 7th and 8th July, 2010.
- An MBBS class of 2010-11 batch was started from 2nd August, 2010.
- Dissection training was conducted on five embalmed human cadavers procured from Medical Colleges, Kolkata.
Academic Activities
- Regular classes and seminar/demonstrations are being held for under graduate students and resident doctors.
- Regular class tests are being held for under graduate students.
Vision of Department
- Starting Post graduate programme: MD anatomy and PhD programme.
- Establishment of Laboratories and starting research.
- Improving the museum and laboratories of the department.
- Completing procurement of Equipments, including a mortuary cooler (temp. -20°C) to store at least 8 embalmed cadavers.
- Introducing software based teaching methods in Anatomy.
- Introducing virtual classroom teaching.
- Procuring one Trinocular microscope with digital attachment.
